<strong>Springfield</strong> Station<br />

<strong>Springfield</strong> Station will be built in an already well<br />

developed section of the greater <strong>Springfield</strong> area<br />

on the western side of the Centenary Highway<br />

with access from Nev Smith Drive.<br />

The <strong>station</strong> will be located in a deep cutting so<br />

that the building does not intrude on the suburban<br />

landscape.<br />

The <strong>station</strong> will be within easy walking distance of<br />

a route 522 bus stop on Woodcrest Way and there<br />

will be a kiss ‘n’ ride drop-off area at the <strong>station</strong>.<br />

Access into the <strong>station</strong> will be from Nev Smith Drive via a street level plaza,<br />

designed as an open and inviting civic space.<br />

To reach the platform from the plaza, passengers will use stairs or a lift to a covered<br />

walkway over the rail line.<br />
