All PRA Retirees-Depositors of Export and Industry Bank<br />
Dear Sir/ Madame:<br />
Due to the recent closure of the Export and Industry Bank, (EIB) by the Bangko Sentral ng<br />
Pilipinas (BSP), the <strong>Authority</strong> hereby announces its position:<br />
1. PRA will NOT terminate the SRR Visa(s) of retiree-members whose visa deposits are<br />
with EIB;<br />
2. PRA will offer assistance in facilitating insurance claims from PDIC up to its maximum<br />
deposit insurance coverage of PHP 500,000.00 per depositor;<br />
3. PRA will develop a collection mechanism for the balance of visa deposits which will no<br />
longer be covered by PDIC, subject to the approval of the PRA Board;<br />
4. PRA will communicate this information in the major broadsheets, the PRA official<br />
website, the Resident Retiree’s Servicing Center, (RRSC), and SWS Contact Center;<br />
and<br />
5. PRA Members/EIB Depositors who are not in this list are asked to contact PRA (copy<br />
furnished to pravpa2010@gmail.com). Those with withdrawal clearance(s) from PRA but<br />
have not been able to withdraw their visa deposits from EIB are also asked to submit<br />
their names.<br />
The <strong>Authority</strong> intends to keep its obligations both legal and moral to its retiree-members and<br />
their heirs most especially in times of crisis like this.<br />
