CALL FOR ACTION FOR ROAD SAFETY

• In the first half of 2010, there were several
reports on fatal accidents on the roads
• It is very clear that the economic cost of
casualties, both fatal and serious injury, are
very high
• However, lives cannot be measured by
numbers; road users’ life should not become
part of the statistics
• Every life lost on the
roads is one too many
• We should continue to
step up our efforts to
prevent the loss of lives to
road traffic accidents
