<strong>PTSA</strong> <strong>Alumni</strong> <strong>Scholarship</strong><br />
The <strong>Serene</strong> <strong>Lake</strong> <strong>PTSA</strong> sponsors an <strong>Alumni</strong> <strong>Scholarship</strong> each year to two<br />
graduating seniors who attended <strong>Serene</strong> <strong>Lake</strong> <strong>Elementary</strong>. The purpose of<br />
these $1,000 scholarships is to help former <strong>Serene</strong> <strong>Lake</strong> Sea Otters with their<br />
continuing education.<br />
Application must be received by May 3, 2013 to be considered.<br />
<strong>Scholarship</strong> recipients will be notified by May 17, 2013.<br />
Eligibility<br />
1. Graduating Senior<br />
2. Former student at <strong>Serene</strong> <strong>Lake</strong> <strong>Elementary</strong><br />
3. Continuing your education at a 2-year or 4-year College or university,<br />
or an accredited vocational-technical school.<br />
Instructions<br />
1. Applications must be received by May 3, 2013, to be considered.<br />
2. Applications may be mailed to: <strong>Serene</strong> <strong>Lake</strong> <strong>Elementary</strong>, ATTN:<br />
Kim Gleason, 4709 Picnic Point Road, Edmonds, WA 98026. Or, you<br />
may drop your application at the school office, ATTN: Kim Gleason,<br />
during regular business hours.<br />
Necessary Forms:<br />
a) Completed application<br />
b) A one-page, 500- word essay (no smaller than 10-point font)<br />
explaining the role <strong>Serene</strong> <strong>Lake</strong> <strong>Elementary</strong> played in your<br />
educational career and your goals for the future.<br />
c) Please DO NOT submit letters of recommendation with this<br />
application.<br />
