Voice over IP Recording: EVOip for Linux
EVOip for Linux
EVOip for Linux, an entirely software-based solution, has
been designed to satisfy the most demanding recording
requirements. It captures telephone calls via the network
and allows storage, reproduction, archiving and playback
of the entire interaction.
The innovative architecture provides maximum flexibility,
scalability, ease of integration and installation. Linux
creates a very stable recording environment, making it
perfect for mission-critical applications. It includes all UNIX
standard tools and offers excellent networking capability
and an advanced graphical interface built into the operating
system. As an open-source architecture, it is continually
being improved, and it is not vulnerable to typical Windows
viruses. The EVOip Server Software may be installed on
a customer provided ’off the shelf’ server.
Compatibility with SIP
EVOip for Linux is compatible with SIP (Session Initiation
Protocol), the emerging standard for VoIP. SIP enables
the use of IP telephony switches without proprietary
protocol support. Thus, ASC´s recording solution may now
be used to record call details like phone numbers in all
SIP arenas. SIP makes telephony like any other web
application and may be used to build converged voice
and multimedia services.
Integrated solutions
EVOip+ for Cisco is an integrated VoIP recording solution
for Cisco products. The system is connected to the Cisco
Call Manager to capture both voice and Call Index data.
They analyze and decode Cisco’s proprietary SCCP,
popularly known as the ‘Skinny’ protocol. ASC has
successfully fulfilled the Cisco Technology Developer Partner
Program requirements.
EVOip+ for Siemens, a passive VoIP recording solution,
analyzes and tags calls according to the manufacturer’s
unique signalling protocol, thus increasing efficiency during
the search-and-retrieval process.
EVOip+ for Mitel integrates with the Mitel 3300 ICP
product family. All required call details like agent ID,
internal and external phone number can be retrieved
from the MiTAI interface.
Product features
• Software only solution
• Local storage and archiving on DVD
• Local SQL database
• Local and remote operation via LAN
Passive and active versions
EVOip, a passive VoIP recording solution, monitors the
audio packets on the LAN. It can be used in nearly every
customer environment and supports virtually all IP vendors.
Additionally, it may be adjusted for the most popular
VoIP products to record call details such as phone number,
date, agent name, etc.
EVOip active offers an entirely integrated VoIP recording
solution for Cisco and for innovaphone products. The
software may be installed anywhere in the IP network
independent of the LAN-structure. EVOip active acts like
an IP softphone and is one part of a third party conference.
(calling party, called party and EVOip active)
• Browser-based interface for configuration and search
& replay
• Call Marker to add specific labels to the recorded call
via an agent workstation PC
• Up to 120 recording channels simultaneously on a single
server
• Mono or stereo recording
• Record on demand, selective or bulk recording, rulesbased
recording
• Optional Threat Call Recording for security applications
• Support of G.711 (64 kbit/s) and G.729 (8 kbit/s)
• Supports DHCP
