The New Mexico Municipal League has scheduled its annual
series of District Meetings. These meetings will be held within
the eight League Districts as established by the League
Board of Directors. This brochure is also posted on our
website at www.nmml.org.
The main purpose of these meetings is to report to you on the
2012 Legislative Session and new laws affecting
municipalities. The agenda also includes a report on the New
Mexico Self-Insurers’ Fund, and elections of League Board
District Directors in even-numbered Districts where the
Director’s two-year term expires. This is also an opportunity
for you to visit with other municipal officials in your area.
We urge you to attend the District Meeting in your area.
Please encourage your newly-elected officials to attend.
DISTRICT DIRECTOR ELECTIONS
Elections of District Directors will be held in Districts 2, 4, 6
and 8. (The terms of office for Directors in Districts 1, 3, 5 and
7 expire on May 1, 2013.)

writing no later than 3 days prior to your meeting. Cancellations received after the 3 days
prior to your meeting will be charged a $15.00 cancellation fee. No registrations or
cancellations accepted by telephone. If you’re preregistered and do not attend without
cancelling your registration, you are responsible for full registration fee. Cancellation
deadline also applies to inclement weather related conditions.
