Collins McNicholas Consultants are highly skilled in developing job specifications, confirming client
requirements, candidate sourcing and carrying out initial CV screening, as well as screening
interviews both over the telephone and face-to-face. All Consultants have received comprehensive
Competency Based Interview skills training. Collins McNicholas can build and tailor an assessment
process to best meet your requirements. This can range from carrying out pre-selected psychometric
assessments to building an entire assessment process.
In March 2014, Collins McNicholas was awarded a Deloitte Best Managed Companies Award 2014
with a separate and special commendation under the award criteria ‘Capability’.

Welcome to our 2014/15 programme of events
CHAIRPERSONS ADDRESS
It is a great honour to address the CIPD Programme this year as Incoming Chairperson.
It really is hard to believe that another year has passed and that we have finalized our programme
of events for 2014 – 2015. And what an eventful upcoming CIPD year it promises to be - the
responses we secured from you via our Member Survey this year truly gave us some valuable
insight, of which, we hope you see reflected in the speakers, topics and structure of this years’
CIPD calendar.
Our theme “HR: Building Organisational Effectiveness: Sustaining Competitiveness” is
a highly relevant topic to the HR practitioner today - more and more we are relied upon to partner
with our business leaders in re-shaping the structure and design of our workforce to sustain
competiveness. In doing so, we are tasked with building a long-term focus in our business
decisions and strategies while concurrently, securing employee ‘buy-in’ to these plans – this can
prove challenging! In order to be successful the HR professional needs to integrate and co-ordinate,
between employee behaviour and the organisation’s long-term values.
