How to get to the meeting and hotel information

This short note simply to inform you that in connection with the FRESH
meeting to take place in Strasbourg on November 14th and 15th, I have made
a block booking at

Comfort hotel is located in the centre of town with direct access by tram to our
building where the meeting will take place. We have negotiated rates there (66
euros including breakfast for a single room).
If you are interested, I suggest that I gather all your requirements and that I
deal with the hotel for all of you. I would then need from you indications of
your arrival and departure dates and whether you will need a single or double
room.
I would like to add some information on how to reach Strasbourg and to reach
us
Access to Strasbourg:
You can reach Strasbourg by plane (Strasbourg-Entzheim airport) or by train.
There are additional possibilities via Karlsruhe -Baden Baden Airpark which is 50km's away
from Strasbourg: http://www.badenairpark.de/ (Ryanair, Air Berlin, Hamburg International)
or via Francfort airport (there are Lufthansa buses to Strasbourg and train connections from
the airport) or via Bale-Mulhous airport
Access to Strasbourg centre
If you travel by train, you will arrive at Strasbourg Central Station. From there you can either
walk (15mn) to Comfort Hotel or if you prefer you can take the tram (Direction:
Illkirch) and get off at Place de l'Homme de Fer (2 stops). The Hotel is 5mn's away.
If you arrive at the airport, take the shuttle bus (Navette: 5,20 euros including the tram ride
and 9,70 euros for a return ticket), which takes you to the tram line at Baggersee and from
there into town: take the tram (direction Hautepierre Tram A) and get off at the stop Place de
l'Homme de Fer (see above). There are also trains to Strasbourg central station.
And of course there are taxis, which are quite expensive.
If you want to come directly from the airport to the PEGE (our building where the meeting
will take place), there is now a tram line directly from Baggersee (Tram E) where the shuttle
bus takes you to PEGE (the stop is Observatoire: see below)
Access to the PEGE (61 avenue de la Forêt Noire) where the meeting will take place
You have a direct tram line from Comfort Hotel (Tram C direction neuhof R. Reuss NOT
Hoenheim) to reach us: take the tram on the place de l'Homme de Fer which goes to

"Esplanade". Get off at "Observatoire" and walk down the boulevard Leblois (200m) to a big
red brick building across the street called the Pôle Européen de Gestion et d'Economie. The
meeting will be sign posted within the building.
