Adapted recreational swimming lessons are available for youth and teens with disabilities at the<br />
<strong>Moorhead</strong> Municipal Pool. Participants will enjoy water play, games, instruction in swimming skills and<br />
other water activities. Any participant needing one on one assistance will need to have a<br />
Personal Care Attendant in the water with them. This program provides a 4 to 1 participant-staff<br />

Adaptive <strong>Summer</strong> Day Camp<br />
This program provides a unique experience for participants with varying skill levels to participate in<br />
recreation and socialization. This camp <strong>of</strong>fers a variety <strong>of</strong> fun activities including swimming, bowling,<br />
golf, organized games, special events and arts and crafts. Participants will also have the opportunity<br />
to attend the Special Olympics Bocce Ball event in July.<br />
Transportation: Any participant attending summer school has the opportunity to be dropped <strong>of</strong>f by the school bus<br />
at program location. Please indicate that you would like this service when you enroll for camp.<br />
This camp will provide a 5 to 1 participant-staff ratio. Personal Care Attendants are<br />

T-Ball and Pop-Up teaches the basic fundamentals and teamwork <strong>of</strong> baseball for boys and girls<br />

All Levels Yoga is brought to you by certified YogaFit instructors. This class is designed<br />
to improve health, performance, and mental acuity. Based on the ancient fitness<br />
science <strong>of</strong> hatha yoga, it blends balance, strength, flexibility and power in a fitness<br />
format. The YogaFit style reduces the risk <strong>of</strong> injury and augments recovery for<br />

Pre/Post Natal Yoga NEW!<br />
Classic yoga poses have been selected specifically for use during pregnancy and the postpartum<br />
period by a board certified obstetrician/gynecologist in this Pre-Postnatal Yoga class. The poses are<br />
linked in a gentle “flow” style <strong>of</strong> simple Yoga that is safe throughout all trimesters <strong>of</strong> pregnancy. Poses<br />
to help relieve the aches and pains <strong>of</strong> pregnancy, from morning sickness to early labor pains are<br />
included. Breathing techniques and pelvic floor exercises that you will find valuable during labor and<br />

5K Your Way!<br />
Completing a 5K race is a powerful but realistic fitness goal for people <strong>of</strong> all fitness levels. The<br />
problem is, most people embark in a running program without pr<strong>of</strong>essional guidance and end up<br />
getting injured and frustrated. Certified personal trainer, Molly Klein, will be meeting with you once a<br />
week for eight weeks to motivate and coach you to completing your first 5k ‘your way’. In your weekly<br />
training sessions, you will be participating in a group run/walk along with receiving nutrition and<br />
additional fitness coaching that supports your goal <strong>of</strong> running. This eight week training program puts<br />
you on pace to participate in the Fargo Marathon 5k Run Fun on Friday, May 18th.<br />
Participants should have the ability to walk for 25-30 continuous minutes prior<br />

Lil’ Linkers<br />
This six week program will introduce young or beginning golfers to the basic principles <strong>of</strong> golf through<br />
small group instruction and fun activities. Four stations will be utilized for instruction on putting,<br />
chipping, pitching and the driving range. When finished with the class, golfers will have learned the<br />
basic rules <strong>of</strong> golf, golf etiquette and will have played the golf course once.<br />

Level Course Content<br />
Preschool Recommended for first time swimmers ages 3-4. Basic skills taught using games, songs and<br />
water toys to provide a fun introduction to swimming and water safety.<br />
Level 1 Enter and exit water safely, float on front and back, submerge to pick up object, explore arm and<br />
hand movement, exhale underwater, explore swimming on front and back, use a life jacket, follow<br />
basic water safety rules.<br />
Level 2 Tread water, glide on front and back, explore swimming on side, rollover from front to back and<br />
back to front, enter water by stepping or jumping from the side, swim on front and back using<br />
combined strokes, perform rhythmic breathing.<br />
Level 3 Jump into deep water from the side, perform rotary breathing, perform butterfly kick and body<br />
motion, change from vertical to horizontal position on front and back, dive from sitting or kneeling<br />
position, swim front crawl, bob with head fully submerged, swim back crawl.<br />
Level 4 Dive from compact or stride position, swim breaststroke, swim underwater, swim elementary<br />
backstroke, perform throwing assists, perform feet-first surface dive, swim on side using scissors<br />
kick, coordinate butterfly, perform open turns on front and back, compact jump from height<br />
wearing a life jacket.<br />
Level 5 Front crawl, elementary backstroke, front flip turn, back crawl, sidestroke, backstroke flip turn,<br />
breaststroke, survival swimming, rescue breathing, tuck and pike surface dives.<br />
Level 6 Level 6 is designed with “menu” options that focus on more advanced courses, including the<br />
personal water safety, lifeguard readiness, fitness swimmer, or other aquatic activities, such as<br />
competitive swimming.

The Meadows Public Golf Course <strong>of</strong>fers casual dining,<br />
special events, and banquet facilities from April through<br />
September. The upper level bar and grill has windows<br />
and a large patio overlooking the golf course and seats<br />
50. The lower level has two private rooms. The smaller<br />
<strong>of</strong> the two rooms seats 40, and the larger, with windows<br />
and doors opening to a private patio, seats 64. When<br />
used together, the space accommodates 140.<br />
The Village Green Restaurant seats 80, with space for<br />
an additional 40 people on the patio. An outdoor gas<br />

Pickleball is a racquet sport which combines elements <strong>of</strong> badminton, tennis, and table tennis.<br />
The sport is played on a court with the same dimensions as a doubles badminton court. The<br />
net is lower than most other racquet sports allowing for faster play. The game is played with a<br />
hard paddle and a wiffle ball, making the technique required for Pickleball different than other<br />
