Slater said that new <str<strong>on</strong>g>Board</str<strong>on</strong>g> members need to earn their respect. Mr. Slater encouraged<br />

the <str<strong>on</strong>g>Board</str<strong>on</strong>g> to replace the VoAg open<str<strong>on</strong>g>in</str<strong>on</strong>g>g with a l<strong>on</strong>g-term pers<strong>on</strong>.<br />

Lee and Carolyn Gabric spoke c<strong>on</strong>cern<str<strong>on</strong>g>in</str<strong>on</strong>g>g the VoAg program. Menti<strong>on</strong>ed that Mr.<br />

Scott's c<strong>on</strong>tributi<strong>on</strong> to the program has been to cut its scienc credit. Ms. Gabric spoke<br />

referred to articles <str<strong>on</strong>g>in</str<strong>on</strong>g> the newspaper and c<strong>on</strong>tended that the <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g>fer<str<strong>on</strong>g>in</str<strong>on</strong>g>g <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> credit for VoAg<br />

science is discreti<strong>on</strong>ary by the District. Ms. Gabric said students will be robbed by<br />

changes <str<strong>on</strong>g>in</str<strong>on</strong>g> the program and said that all four agriculture teachers are highly qualified.<br />

Ms. Gabric said that other schools <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g>fer Ag Science as a science credit and will<br />

c<strong>on</strong>t<str<strong>on</strong>g>in</str<strong>on</strong>g>ue to do so. Ms. Gabric said this was the 'beg<str<strong>on</strong>g>in</str<strong>on</strong>g>n<str<strong>on</strong>g>in</str<strong>on</strong>g>g <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> the end' <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> the VoAg<br />

program. Ms. Gabric menti<strong>on</strong>ed Aar<strong>on</strong> Tournoux receiv<str<strong>on</strong>g>in</str<strong>on</strong>g>g a Nati<strong>on</strong>al award <str<strong>on</strong>g>in</str<strong>on</strong>g><br />

Horticulture and said that she does not want the program dim<str<strong>on</strong>g>in</str<strong>on</strong>g>ished. Ms. Gabric then<br />

questi<strong>on</strong>ed what decisi<strong>on</strong> T<strong>on</strong>y Scott would have made if his own children were<br />

<str<strong>on</strong>g>in</str<strong>on</strong>g>volved <str<strong>on</strong>g>in</str<strong>on</strong>g> the program.<br />

Tom Masters<strong>on</strong> addressed the <str<strong>on</strong>g>Board</str<strong>on</strong>g> <str<strong>on</strong>g>in</str<strong>on</strong>g> regard to Dennis Tucci and referred to his<br />

review as be<str<strong>on</strong>g>in</str<strong>on</strong>g>g "bogus". Mr. Masters<strong>on</strong> said that teachers have told him that morale is<br />

at an all-time low and implied that this was a result <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> Mr. Scott's c<strong>on</strong>tract be<str<strong>on</strong>g>in</str<strong>on</strong>g>g<br />

renewed for five years. Mr. Masters<strong>on</strong> also menti<strong>on</strong>ed that if people speak out, their<br />

name goes <strong>on</strong> "the list". Mr. Masters<strong>on</strong> also menti<strong>on</strong>ed that five teachers are<br />

c<strong>on</strong>sider<str<strong>on</strong>g>in</str<strong>on</strong>g>g leav<str<strong>on</strong>g>in</str<strong>on</strong>g>g <str<strong>on</strong>g>Marl<str<strong>on</strong>g>in</str<strong>on</strong>g>gt<strong>on</strong></str<strong>on</strong>g> Local Schools and referred to students liv<str<strong>on</strong>g>in</str<strong>on</strong>g>g <str<strong>on</strong>g>in</str<strong>on</strong>g> a "soap<br />

opera" created by the Adm<str<strong>on</strong>g>in</str<strong>on</strong>g>istrati<strong>on</strong> and made a reference to Robert Louis Stevens<strong>on</strong>'s<br />

story "Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde". Mr. Masters<strong>on</strong> encouraged the board to start talk<str<strong>on</strong>g>in</str<strong>on</strong>g>g<br />

to teachers. Mr. Masters<strong>on</strong> asserted that teachers are fearful for their jobs and said that<br />

the District will be bey<strong>on</strong>d repair if the <str<strong>on</strong>g>Board</str<strong>on</strong>g> does not do some serious research. Mr.<br />

Masters<strong>on</strong> exhorted the <str<strong>on</strong>g>Board</str<strong>on</strong>g> to enable a reverse evaluati<strong>on</strong> <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> <str<strong>on</strong>g>Marl<str<strong>on</strong>g>in</str<strong>on</strong>g>gt<strong>on</strong></str<strong>on</strong>g><br />

adm<str<strong>on</strong>g>in</str<strong>on</strong>g>istrators. Mr. Masters<strong>on</strong> implied that all the research he has d<strong>on</strong>e can't be shared<br />

at this time and closed by say<str<strong>on</strong>g>in</str<strong>on</strong>g>g, "We will not go away" and assured the <str<strong>on</strong>g>Board</str<strong>on</strong>g> that<br />

they will be back every m<strong>on</strong>th until serious changes occur.<br />

Kathy Krupko addressed the <str<strong>on</strong>g>Board</str<strong>on</strong>g>. She began with an analogy <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> a hit-and-run<br />

accident occur<str<strong>on</strong>g>in</str<strong>on</strong>g>g, and the police aband<strong>on</strong><str<strong>on</strong>g>in</str<strong>on</strong>g>g the <str<strong>on</strong>g>in</str<strong>on</strong>g>vestigati<strong>on</strong>, <str<strong>on</strong>g>in</str<strong>on</strong>g> reference to the n<strong>on</strong>renewal<br />

<str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> Dennis Tucci as Athletic Director. Ms. Krupko menti<strong>on</strong>ed the op<str<strong>on</strong>g>in</str<strong>on</strong>g>i<strong>on</strong>s <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g><br />

staff members and said that they had fear <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> retaliati<strong>on</strong> if they were to speak out. Ms.<br />

Krupko said they they were look<str<strong>on</strong>g>in</str<strong>on</strong>g>g for facts, not to "get any<strong>on</strong>e" <str<strong>on</strong>g>in</str<strong>on</strong>g> reference to<br />

research d<strong>on</strong>e while look<str<strong>on</strong>g>in</str<strong>on</strong>g>g <str<strong>on</strong>g>in</str<strong>on</strong>g>to Adm<str<strong>on</strong>g>in</str<strong>on</strong>g>istrators' and Teachers' pers<strong>on</strong>nel files. Ms.<br />

Krupko adm<strong>on</strong>ished the <str<strong>on</strong>g>Board</str<strong>on</strong>g>, rem<str<strong>on</strong>g>in</str<strong>on</strong>g>d<str<strong>on</strong>g>in</str<strong>on</strong>g>g them to "hear their c<strong>on</strong>stituents and respect<br />

them", and referred to pers<strong>on</strong>al agendas and biased evaluati<strong>on</strong>s. Ms. Krupko suggested<br />

the <str<strong>on</strong>g>Board</str<strong>on</strong>g> review the number <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> grievences filed by the uni<strong>on</strong>. Ms. Krupko said "Fear<br />

is not the best motivator" and "I have <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g>ten said my children will succeed <str<strong>on</strong>g>in</str<strong>on</strong>g> spite <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g><br />

<str<strong>on</strong>g>Marl<str<strong>on</strong>g>in</str<strong>on</strong>g>gt<strong>on</strong></str<strong>on</strong>g>." Ms. Krupko said she was pers<strong>on</strong>ally chastised for list<str<strong>on</strong>g>in</str<strong>on</strong>g>g three assistant<br />

pr<str<strong>on</strong>g>in</str<strong>on</strong>g>cipals at a booster club event. Ms. Krupko also questi<strong>on</strong>ed who would pay for<br />

$10,000 <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> athletic equipment that was purchased without payment received <str<strong>on</strong>g>in</str<strong>on</strong>g><br />

advance. Ms. Krupko said, "Please d<strong>on</strong>'t <str<strong>on</strong>g>in</str<strong>on</strong>g>sult us with scare tactics" <str<strong>on</strong>g>in</str<strong>on</strong>g> regard to the<br />

<str<strong>on</strong>g>Board</str<strong>on</strong>g> allegedly say<str<strong>on</strong>g>in</str<strong>on</strong>g>g it is hard to hire a Super<str<strong>on</strong>g>in</str<strong>on</strong>g>tendent when the District has not<br />
