Outcome 1<br />
Identify legal rights and obligations relating to owning and operating a motor vehicle.<br />
Evidence requirements<br />
1.1 Legal obligations are identified in terms <strong>of</strong> ownership <strong>of</strong> a motor vehicle.<br />
Range<br />
vehicle licensing, vehicle inspection certificate, safety <strong>of</strong> vehicle.<br />
1.2 Legal obligations are identified in terms <strong>of</strong> motor vehicle operation.<br />
Range<br />
consumption <strong>of</strong> alcohol and/or other drugs, licensed as a driver,<br />
compliance with road rules.<br />
1.3 Legal rights and obligations are identified in relation to road traffic crashes.<br />
Range<br />
driver, owner, Police, witness;<br />
crashes involving – injury, non-injury, damage to property<br />
including animals.<br />
1.4 Consequences for the person in charge <strong>of</strong> a motor vehicle are described in<br />
