205.6.4 pocket money;<br />

205.6.5 <strong>comp</strong>ensation for loss of income according to decisions of his National Ski<br />

Association;<br />

205.6.6 social security including insurance, also covering accident or illness in connection<br />

with training or <strong>comp</strong>etition;<br />

205.6.7 scholarships.<br />

205.7 A National Ski Association may reserve funds to secure a <strong>comp</strong>etitor's education<br />

and future career after retiring from active <strong>comp</strong>etitive skiing.<br />

The <strong>comp</strong>etitor has no claim to these funds which shall be dispensed only<br />

according to the judgment of his National Ski Association.<br />

206 Sponsorships and Advertising<br />

206.1 A National Ski Association or its pool may enter into contracts with a commercial<br />

firm or organization for financial sponsorship and or the supply of<br />

goods or equipment if the specific <strong>comp</strong>any or organization is acknowledged<br />

as an Official Supplier or Sponsor by the National Ski Association.<br />

Advertising using photographs, likenesses or names of <strong>FIS</strong> <strong>comp</strong>etitors with<br />

any sportsman not eligible according to either the <strong>FIS</strong> eligibility <strong>rules</strong> or the<br />

eligibility <strong>rules</strong> of the IOC, is forbidden.<br />

Advertising with or on <strong>comp</strong>etitors with tobacco or alcohol products or drugs<br />

(narcotics) is forbidden.<br />

206.2 All <strong>comp</strong>ensation under such contracts must be made to the National Ski<br />

Association or its ski pool which shall receive the <strong>comp</strong>ensation and administer<br />

them on behalf of the <strong>comp</strong>etitor subject to the regulations of each National<br />

Ski Association. Competitors may not directly receive any part of such<br />

<strong>comp</strong>ensation except as stated in art. 205.6. The <strong>FIS</strong> may at any time call for<br />

a copy of the contract.<br />

206.3 Equipment goods supplied to and used by the national team must, with reference<br />

to markings and trade marks, conform with the specifications stated in<br />

art. 207.<br />

206.4 If a <strong>comp</strong>etitor is employed by a firm which is contracted to the National Ski<br />

Association or pool as a supplier, then any material advantages received by<br />

the <strong>comp</strong>etitor from the supplier for any service or for any regular employment<br />

must be within the general standards for wages, salaries and <strong>comp</strong>ensation<br />

of the trade concerned.<br />

206.5 Competitors are not permitted to take off one or both skis or snowboard before<br />

crossing the red line in the finish area, as defined by the organizer.<br />
