Hold tight. Naeem Hanks aka Spank Rock, native of Baltimore, resident<br />
of Philadelphia, is about to blow your mind. Signed to Big Dada<br />
at the end of last year, the first Spank Rock album, produced by Armani<br />
xxxchange, will be out early in 2006. The music revels in next<br />
level bad taste booty lyrics and weird, wired production that sounds<br />
like the Dust Brothers doing Baltimore House. As for Naeem himself,<br />
he's just about the only MC in the States who lists Dizzee Rascal<br />
as a hero.<br />
Spank are currently touring with MIA in the US, remixing Lady Sovereign<br />
in the UK and will soon be releasing ‘The Backyard Betty’ EP<br />
on white label, a fantastic introduction to the new new thing.<br />
Spank Rock is a movement.<br />
