David Boehner and h<strong>is</strong> wife, Kay, have been <strong>Waco</strong> residents since 1969.<br />
He has two grown children and two beautiful grand girls. For 32 years, he<br />
owned <strong>Waco</strong> Systems, Inc., a mechanical contracting company serving<br />
much of Central Texas. He <strong>is</strong> a TCU graduate, private pilot, and lover of<br />
dogs. H<strong>is</strong> love of <strong>the</strong> outdoors and upland hunting led him to acquire th<strong>is</strong><br />
very rare and exceptional dog, Bear-never knowing Bear would be one of<br />
<strong>the</strong> best in <strong>the</strong> world in h<strong>is</strong> breed in <strong>the</strong> show ring. Bear at age three <strong>is</strong>: two<br />
time invitee to Westminster Dog Show; one of five invitees to <strong>the</strong> AKC<br />
Eukanuba National Championship; Champion at eleven <strong>month</strong>s; Fifty-<br />
Three Best of Breeds; International Champion; Two Hunting titles; and<br />
Certified Therapy Dog.<br />
Bear<br />
Bear has appeared on WFAA, Channel 8, Good Morning Texas as <strong>the</strong><br />
face of <strong>the</strong> Dallas Dog Show. He has appeared on KWTX, KCEN, KWKT,<br />
and News 8 Austin as well as Fox News, NYC, and many newspaper articles and tabloids.<br />

Dr. Jim Ellor <strong>is</strong> professor of School of Social Work at Baylor University. Jim<br />
joined <strong>the</strong> Baylor faculty in August 2004. He <strong>is</strong> an ordained min<strong>is</strong>ter in <strong>the</strong><br />
Presbyterian Church, USA and on <strong>the</strong> pastoral staff of First Presbyterian<br />
Church of <strong>Waco</strong>, TX. Previously, Jim was pastor in Human Services Department<br />
and Director of <strong>the</strong> Center for Positive Aging at National – Lew<strong>is</strong> University for<br />
21 years. He, also, served as part-time on-call chaplain at Edward Hospital,<br />
Naperville, Illino<strong>is</strong>- as well as <strong>the</strong> chaplain to <strong>the</strong> Method<strong>is</strong>t Home of Chicago.<br />
Jim <strong>is</strong> a member of <strong>the</strong> Medical Reserve Corp of <strong>the</strong> <strong>Waco</strong>/ McLennan County<br />
Public Health Department offering leadership to <strong>the</strong> Psycho-Social-Spiritual<br />
Intervention Team (PIT) and trained by NTCSN in Psychological First Aid.<br />
Jim <strong>is</strong> <strong>the</strong> Editor of <strong>the</strong> Journal of Religion Spirituality and Aging. He has<br />
authored numerous professional books and journal articles.<br />
Jim and h<strong>is</strong> wife, Janet, have two daughters, L<strong>is</strong>a and Maggie. Janet <strong>is</strong> a<br />
Some traditions are fun, and setting aside <strong>the</strong> last meeting<br />
date of each <strong>Rotary</strong> year for <strong>the</strong> “Change of Officers” of <strong>the</strong><br />
<strong>Rotary</strong> <strong>Club</strong> of <strong>Waco</strong> <strong>is</strong> one of those occasions!<br />
As we close th<strong>is</strong> <strong>Rotary</strong> year, The Honorable Ralph T.<br />
Stro<strong>the</strong>r, Judge of <strong>the</strong> 19 th D<strong>is</strong>trict Court, will appear before<br />
us, h<strong>is</strong> <strong>Rotary</strong> jury, to report on h<strong>is</strong> year as he served as<br />
President of <strong>the</strong> largest <strong>Rotary</strong> <strong>Club</strong> in our D<strong>is</strong>trict, <strong>the</strong> third<br />
largest in <strong>the</strong> State of Texas and <strong>the</strong> 36 th largest in <strong>the</strong> world!<br />
Before handing <strong>the</strong> <strong>Rotary</strong> gavel to President- Elect Stewart<br />
R. Kelly, President Ralph will observe <strong>the</strong> tradition of recognizing<br />
