When can I sign up<br />
Registration for classes is taken until one business day<br />
before the first day <strong>of</strong> class if space is still available in a<br />
class. Since many <strong>of</strong> the classes fill up quickly, we<br />
encourage you to sign up early.<br />
When do I pay my registration fee<br />
Enrollment is on a first-come, first-serve basis.<br />
Registration and payment should be made to guarantee<br />
your place in class. For your convenience, we accept<br />
check, credit card or cash. If paying by check, make<br />
check payable to ASUMH. For a credit card payment, we<br />
will need your card number, expiration date, and 3-digit<br />
card identification data. Please have the exact amount if<br />
paying in cash.<br />

What is ASUMH’s refund policy for Continuing<br />
Education classes<br />
If you withdraw before the class starts, your money will be<br />

BEGINNING FLY FISHING<br />
This course will be taught by John Berry and Lori Sloas, a local<br />
husband/wife team <strong>of</strong> pr<strong>of</strong>essional guides with over twenty-five<br />
years <strong>of</strong> experience in guiding and fly fishing instruction.<br />
The course is structured for the beginner or novice angler. It is<br />
designed to develop confidence on stream and covers all <strong>of</strong> the<br />
basic skills necessary for success. Learn basic fly casting<br />
instruction, equipment selection and water safety, reading the<br />
water, stream entomology and fly selection, knot tying and<br />
fishing techniques.<br />

TAI CHI<br />
Instructor: Clifford Liu<br />
The ancient art <strong>of</strong> Tai Chi uses gently flowing movements to<br />
reduce the stress <strong>of</strong> today’s busy lifestyles and improve health.<br />
The focus is on movement and breathing. Students report<br />
improvement in blood pressure measurements and improved<br />
coordination. Tai Chi strengthens muscles, improves joint<br />
mobility, reduces stress, increases range <strong>of</strong> motion and improves<br />

CONCEALED HANDGUN<br />
Instructor: Dan Hall (AR <strong>State</strong> Police Instructor #98-353) is a<br />
retired county judge who served in supervisory and training roles<br />
in law enforcement in several states. He possesses the Senior<br />
Law Enforcement Certification & Firearms Instructor Certification<br />
from the Commission on Law Enforcement Standards and<br />
Training and the Advanced Certification from California<br />
Department <strong>of</strong> Justice<br />
Upon completion <strong>of</strong> this course, you will have a completed<br />
package ready to send to the <strong>Arkansas</strong> <strong>State</strong> Police to procure a<br />
concealed handgun permit. Students will be taught self-defense<br />
and the law, handgun fundamentals, and must demonstrate<br />
marksmanship and accuracy with handguns.<br />
<strong>Arkansas</strong> has reciprocity with more than thirty states in which<br />
permits are honored. A complete list <strong>of</strong> states which honor the<br />
<strong>Arkansas</strong> license will be provided. Ninety-day <strong>Arkansas</strong> residency<br />
required.<br />

Get the state-required Insurance Continuing Education (CE)<br />
you need for your <strong>Arkansas</strong> license renewal online! <strong>Arkansas</strong><br />
<strong>State</strong> <strong>University</strong>-<strong>Mountain</strong> <strong>Home</strong> has joined with WebCE, a<br />
nationwide provider <strong>of</strong> Continuing Education for Insurance<br />
Agents, to deliver the web-based courses you need to renew<br />
