Welcome to BA (Hons) Fashion and Textiles
This snapshot of our graduate collections showcases the edifying
journeys as well as future ambitions of our students. While offering a
mere glimpse of the innovation and creative endeavour involved in their
individual journeys, their accomplishments also illustrate the excellence
and dedication of our staff team, all of whom are actively engaged in
professional practice or research.
We pride ourselves on promoting individuality within the course, which
allows our students to fully explore and express their creative agendas
in the assimilation of ideas and aspirations into dynamic contemporary
fashion outcomes.
Two distinct pathways offer a focus on knitwear and printed textiles
for fashion. Our students engage with their chosen specialism through
experimentation and innovation in the development of their creative skills
and critical thinking. A strong emphasis on vocational and contemporary
practices, including a forward thinking fashion marketing agenda, keeps
the course relevant to the changing requirements of the fashion, textiles
and related industries.
We attract highly motivated, creative and curious personalities from a
variety of backgrounds and cultures, all of whom share an ambitious
philosophy to critically explore fashion and textiles across a range of
creative, technical, marketing and intellectual dimensions.
Our aim is to develop outstanding and sought after graduates. We are
proud of our record in fostering innovative designers, thinkers and decision
makers who are able to adapt to and inform the fashion and textiles
related industries as well as wider creative communities.
