A fast-track consultation and planning process will advance the Initiative. The fast-track process will be based on: • Real partnerships with the British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba provincial governments. • Collaboration between the public and private sectors. • A private sector perspective, building on wide ranging consultations underway, and including strategic advice from key industry leaders. • An international conference of experts. • Engagement of the Western Canadian business community in addressing the opportunities and challenges with respect to the emerging economic giants in Asia.
