Acciona Solar, the solar-energy arm of Acciona Energía,<br />

has seen phenomenal growth rates, as have the other major<br />

companies <strong>in</strong>volved <strong>in</strong> this field. The company’s <strong>in</strong>come<br />

exploded from about half a million euros to more than 96<br />

million euros <strong>in</strong> only eight years.<br />

Last December, the company connected the Monte Alto<br />

Solar Field to the grid; it’s the largest <strong>in</strong>stallation of its k<strong>in</strong>d<br />
