Exhibition News Mary Beth Brath Susquehanna Valley Plein Air Painters December 8, 2012 to January 4, 2013 Twenty members of the Susquehanna Valley Plein Air Painters will exhibit at The Art Center. The free public reception is Saturday, December 8th from 1 to 3 pm. All paintings were created at various locations in Central Pennsylvania, as well as other areas of interest. The group focuses on “plein air” painting or created outside, on location. These paintings often have an Impressionistic painterly quality to the work. Ralph Hocker The Art of Pastel: Donna Mitchell and Friends January 12 to 31, 2013 The Art Center is proud to showcase the artwork of our long-time pastel instructor Donna Mitchell and her students. Enjoy a variety of subject matter and color palettes. Meet Donna at the opening reception January 12th from 2 to 4 pm. KICKING IT UP A NOTCH: Sparking Your Creativity with Innovative Media and Techniques features a panel of expert artists sharing ways to jumpstart your creativity. Sue Marrazzo has been juried into the Daily Painters of Pennsylvania art group. Follow the group at: www.dailypaintersofpennsylvania.blogspot.com. Sue recently exhibited 7 collage and mixed media works with the Daily Painters of Pennsylvania in the COMING TO BROOKLYN 2012 Show at the Brooklyn Waterfront Artists Coalition in NYC. The show ran September 22 - Oct. 21, 2012. Sue was also accepted into the International Society of Experimental Artists (ISEA) 2012 21st Annual Juried Exhibition. She won the CUTTING EDGE AWARD with her mixed media work, entitled LOVE SONG. The show ran Sept. 21st-October 21st, 2012. Sue also had works accepted in the following juried exhibits: Keystone National 2012 Juried Exhibition of Works on Paper held at the Art Center and the York Art Association's 42nd Annual Open Juried Exhibit held in October 2012.
