XBOX 360 AND MOVISTAR UNVEIL THE FUTURE OF ENTERTAINMENT IN
XBOX LIVE THROUGH IMAGENIO AND KINECT
Madrid, November 30, 2011– The president of Microsoft® Ibérica, María Garaña, and the
president of Telefónica España, Luis Miguel Gilpérez, have showcased a new revolutionary
form of entertainment today at Telefónica’s Flagship Store in Madrid. Users of Xbox 360® can
access 12 TV channels from their consoles delivering the best cinema, music and sports
content. Customers can enter the service by using precise voice and gesture control through
Kinect. In this way, Movistar Imagenio helps Xbox 360®broaden its concept of a games console
to embrace a complete home entertainment solution.
After revolutionizing videogames through its innovative body and voice recognition feature,
Kinect now intends to change the way we enjoy our favorite entertainment options. With the
Movistar Imagenio application (starting with a promotion for all Xbox LIVE Gold users*), users
can access their favorite content without needing to use remote controls.
In order to access Imagenio, customers simply need to have an Xbox 360®, an active account
on Microsoft’s online platform, Xbox LIVE,and a downloadable application from the Xbox 360®
internet platform.
Thanks to Imagenio, over a million Spanish households already enjoy the best channels and a
wide range of Spanish and international movies. Xbox LIVE users can now watch spectacular
images of extreme skiing, Champions League matches or top tennis tournaments and much
more, as well as enjoy the most advanced games console on the market, all in one device.

Thanks to the latest Xbox LIVE update,Xbox 360® will become a new console that delivers an
unprecedented entertainment experience. This update includes anew user interface design,
voice control via Kinect and the first series of new entertainment applications. For gamers,
movie lovers, music devotees and sports fans alike, Xbox LIVE provides the best entertainment
free of charge from the start of December through to January 31 via Movistar Imagenio.
*Imagenio will be available free of charge during the first 3 months of service for all Xbox LIVE Gold
users. Thereafter an additional subscription will be required.
