The Priest comes to the center, bows to the Church; he turns, goes to the<br />
altar and standing be<strong>for</strong>e it says quietly:<br />
Sanctify O Lord, these gifts offered by us,<br />
and cleanse us from the stains of our sins;<br />
through Jesus Christ our Lord.<br />
The Priest sets on incense, offered by the Subdeacon or Thurifer which he<br />
blesses saying:<br />
May you be blessed by Him<br />
in whose honor you are to be burned. Amen.<br />
The Priest censes the gifts and the altar, walking around it and returning<br />
to the center. The Deacon censes the Priest and the Church.<br />
The Acolyte presents water and a towel and the Priest washes his hands<br />
saying quietly:<br />
Lord wash away my iniquity,<br />
cleanse me from my sin.<br />
When all are in place the following may be used by the Deacon:<br />
Deacon: Our presbyter, N, ( your unworthy servant) offers this<br />
sacrifice of praise and thanksgiving to the Lord God<br />
making remembrance <strong>for</strong> himself, (myself) our bishop,<br />
N., and the whole college of clergy.<br />
