4. I already work for NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde so you know all about me - why do
I still need to fill in an application form
The application process is anonymous and decisions to shortlist candidates for interview are
made ONLY on the contents of your application form. If you do not provide all the information
requested in the application form, it will not be evident that you meet the criteria listed in the
job description and you will not be shortlisted for interview.
Please ensure that you read the job description carefully, complete all applicable sections of
the application and that your Statement in support of your Application clearly demonstrates
how you meet the requirements of the post. Please note Curriculum Vitae will NOT be
accepted as part of the application process unless you are applying for a Medical Staffing
(Doctor, Consultant etc) Position.

postage may not be delivered in time for your application to be included for shortlisting.
7. How will I know you have received my application form
8. When will I find out if I have been shortlisted for interview
All our posts are shortlisted within six weeks of the closing date. If you have not been
contacted after six weeks it is unlikely that you will have been shortlisted. To confirm this, or
receive feedback on your application please call the recruitment office on 0845 3000 831
9. How do I find out if I have been shortlisted
We will write to you inviting you to attend an interview.

10. If I have not been shortlisted for interview can you tell me why
Yes. If you have not received an interview letter within 6 weeks of the closing date you can
in your application pack - or call our office on 0845 3000 831 and select option 2
11. Where should I go for my interview
You will be provided with all of the information regarding date, time and location of your interview
• Current Bank Statement
• Marriage Certificate
• UK P45/60 Statement
Also, where applicable, you should bring evidence of your professional registration or
Professional Qualifications needed
If you require a certificate of sponsorship it is important that you bring your passport with all
relevant visa information
If you forget or are unable to bring these documents to interview, and are successful at
interview, it is essential that you bring your ID to Recruitment Services at Tara House as soon
as possible after you interview, as we need to verify your identity before we can progress your
pre-employment checks (see Question 13)
13. If I have been successful at interview what happens next
All our offers are subject to satisfactory Pre-employment checks - References, Occupational
Health (Medical) Screening and where appropriate, Disclosure Scotland Clearance. You will
receive a Preferred Candidate Letter enclosing the documents you need to complete and
advising you that we will now be taking up your references. You MUST return the documents
you have been sent within 72 hours of receiving them. Pre-employment checks take time
and cannot start without your cooperation. The longer you wait to return your forms the
longer it will take to complete your checks, which in turn, if formally offered the post, will
delay your start date.
