Who is Telit? 

• Telit Communications PLC is a multinational technology company 

specializing in cellular communication products, based in London, UK 

• Telit Wireless Solutions Srl is a fully owned subsidiary of Telit 

Communications PLC located in Italy

History 

• The Company´s origins date back to 

1986 as an engineering 

organization selling research and 

development services to the 

Telecom industry 

• In 1997 under the “Telital” and 

“Telital automotive” brands, 

it began manufacturing and 

marketing cellular handsets and 

automotive communication 

systems 


• In 2000 the Company started 

selling under the well recognized 

Telit brand 

• Telit Communications S.p.A. 

was established in 2002 by 

acquisition of Telit´s technology 

and brand 

• Two business units were created, 

Wireless Solutions and Wireless 

Products

• Telit Wirelss Solutions Srl is part of the Telit Communications 

PLC Group which successfully started trading on the London 

stock exchange (AIM: TCM) on April 4th, 2005. 

• 33 million Euro were raised through the IPO which are 

primarily invested in further development of the m2m product 

portfolio and establishment of the global sales and marketing 

organization. 

• Today, Telit Wireless Solutions Srl holds three companies: Telit 

Communications SpA (EMEA activities), Telit Wireless Solutions 

Co. (APAC activities) and Telit Wireless Solutions Inc. (Americas 

activities).
