A Chicano and Roman Catholic from Colorado,
Miguel is a Th.D. candidate in moral theology. His
research concerns the traditional theological grammar
associated with the damaged, dysfunctional,
and deteriorating human body. In particular, Miguel is
interested in those forms of Christian social existence
where life’s rhythm forms a people who recognize
the beauty of friendship with profoundly vulnerable
and dependent persons. The virtue misericordia,
mortal suffering, and human flourishing are prominent
themes in his work. Leading figures for him
include Aristotle, Augustine, Aquinas, Bartolomé de
las Casas, and Karol Wojtyła.

Jonathan is a native of Atlanta, but his roots are in
Puerto Rico. His interest is in the transformations of
Protestantism in the seventeenth-century British
Atlantic world. He serves as a lay Eucharistic minister
at the Church of the Redeemer (Anglican) in
Nashville, Tennessee.
