biology M.S. program is designed to help you improve your chances at entry into

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Students must have completed coursework associated
with an undergraduate biology program. Several
suggested classes include biochemistry, genetics,
molecular biology and cell biology. Other requirements
include:
• Completion of a bachelor’s degree with minimum
total GPA of 3.0/4.0 and minimum of 3.0 in upper
level biology and chemistry courses
• Cumulative GRE score of 295 with minimum scores
of 146 (verbal) and 145 (quantitative)
• Letters of recommendation from course instructors
• Transcripts and test scores submitted to the Dept.
of Biology
• Completed applications must include all of the above
APPLICATION DEADLINES
• Fall Admission: July 15
• Spring Admission: November 15
PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS
The 30-credit hour program (five courses each
semester) includes exciting courses in modern
biology such as stem cell biology, regenerative
biology and medicine, developmental neurobiology,
biotechnology and epigenetics. While not designed to
mimic professional schools, the program allows you to
demonstrate a firm commitment to success and opens
your eyes to a variety of academic and professional
options. Enrolled students will be held to high standards
and are expected to graduate well prepared to compete
for admission into professional programs or career
opportunities.
