ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS<br />
Students must have completed coursework associated<br />
with an undergraduate biology program. Several<br />
suggested classes include biochemistry, genetics,<br />
molecular biology and cell biology. Other requirements<br />
include:<br />
• Completion <strong>of</strong> a bachelor’s degree with minimum<br />
total GPA <strong>of</strong> 3.0/4.0 and minimum <strong>of</strong> 3.0 in upper<br />
level biology and chemistry courses<br />
• Cumulative GRE score <strong>of</strong> 295 with minimum scores<br />
<strong>of</strong> 146 (verbal) and 145 (quantitative)<br />
• Letters <strong>of</strong> recommendation from course instructors<br />
• Transcripts and test scores submitted to the Dept.<br />
<strong>of</strong> <strong>Biology</strong><br />
• Completed applications must include all <strong>of</strong> the above<br />
APPLICATION DEADLINES<br />
• Fall Admission: July 15<br />
• Spring Admission: November 15<br />
PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS<br />
The 30-credit hour program (five courses each<br />
semester) includes exciting courses in modern<br />
biology such as stem cell biology, regenerative<br />
biology and medicine, developmental neurobiology,<br />
biotechnology and epigenetics. While not designed to<br />
mimic pr<strong>of</strong>essional schools, the program allows you to<br />
demonstrate a firm commitment to success and opens<br />
your eyes to a variety <strong>of</strong> academic and pr<strong>of</strong>essional<br />
options. Enrolled students will be held to high standards<br />
and are expected to graduate well prepared to compete<br />
for admission into pr<strong>of</strong>essional programs or career<br />
opportunities.<br />
