all levels internationally. To "Promote International Goodwill" and a better understanding between
nations through sports is the major goal.
Ghent is a city in Flanders, the northern part of Belgium. Ghent
is a city with a population of a quarter of a million. Its size and
atmosphere of a provincial town. During the middle ages, it was
one of the richest and most powerful cities in Europe. It was once
considered the second largest city north of the alps, after Paris.
The impact of this rich past can be clearly seen when viewing the
imposing architecture of churches and the houses of rich traders.
symbolised the democratic will to maintain peace among all the
nations, faith in progress, both technical and scientific and,
finally, an optimistic vision of the future of a modern, new,
super-technological world for a better life for mankind. We will
also visit the Mini- Europe next door before returning back to our
hotel for some relaxation before our fourth game of the tour.
