Ghent is a city in Flanders, the northern part of Belgium. Ghent
is a city with a population of a quarter of a million. Its size and
position allow the inhabitants to enjoy a city with an interesting
crossover between open cosmopolitanism and the quiet
atmosphere of a provincial town. During the middle ages, it was
one of the richest and most powerful cities in Europe. It was once
considered the second largest city north of the alps, after Paris.
The impact of this rich past can be clearly seen when viewing the
imposing architecture of churches and the houses of rich traders.
Day 6
After breakfast we travel back to Brussels something different ,
we will visit the Atomium, the main pavilion and icon of the
World Fair of Brussels (1958), commonly called Expo 58. It
symbolised the democratic will to maintain peace among all the
nations, faith in progress, both technical and scientific and,
finally, an optimistic vision of the future of a modern, new,
super-technological world for a better life for mankind. We will
also visit the Mini- Europe next door before returning back to our
hotel for some relaxation before our fourth game of the tour.
romantic of all cities, brimming with historic associations and
remaining vastly influential in the realms of culture, art, fashion,
food and design. Dubbed the City of Light (la Ville Lumière) and
Capital of Fashion, Paris contains numerous iconic landmarks,
such as the world's most visited tourist site the Eiffel Tower, the
Arc de Triomphe, the Notre-Dame Cathedral, the Louvre
Museum, Moulin Rouge, Lido etc, making it the most popular
tourist destination in the world. Lunch will be on your own in
