HEAD COACH CAROL WEYMULLER<br />
Carol Weymuller enters her eighth season as the head<br />
coach of the <strong>Hobart</strong> squash program. Under her direction the<br />
Statesmen have been ranked in the top-20 nationally in each<br />
of the past seven seasons. Last season, she led the squash team<br />
to an 11-9 mark <strong>and</strong> a No. 15 national ranking. She has a<br />
career record of 69-74.<br />
In 1994, Weymuller <strong>and</strong> her husb<strong>and</strong>, Fred, received the<br />
U.S. <strong>Squash</strong> Racquets Association’s President’s Cup, the most<br />
prestigious award presented by the USSRA.<br />
Also the leader of the <strong>Hobart</strong> tennis program, Weymuller<br />
led the Statesmen to a 16-4 record in 2001-02, the team’s best<br />
record since 1994-95. Her career record currently st<strong>and</strong>s at 60-74. The U.S. Professional<br />
Tennis Association recently honored Weymuller with its 2002 Tex Schwab Lifetime<br />
Achievement Award.<br />
Weymuller earned a bachelor’s degree in Spanish <strong>and</strong> elementary education from<br />
Bethany College in 1970. Upon graduation she worked as a tennis <strong>and</strong> squash professional<br />
at the Heights Casino in Brooklyn, N.Y., from 1970 through 1980, followed by a stint at<br />
the Genesee Valley Club in Rochester, N.Y., from 1980 through 1993. From 1993 through<br />
1995, she was the squash professional at the University of Rochester Medical Center<br />
Athletic Club <strong>and</strong> the tennis professional at the Country Club of Rochester.<br />
An accomplished player as well, Weymuller was the No. 1 ranked player in New York<br />
City from 1976 through 1978. She served as captain of the U.S. Team in 1981 <strong>and</strong> ’83. She<br />
won a record 11 consecutive Rochester Women’s Championships from 1981 through 1991.<br />
