Introducing Clavister Security System 6002 Chassis
2U 2-Slot ATCA High-Performance Network Security System
The Clavister Security System 6002 is our most compact ATCA system, providing a convenient solution
for carrier and telecom operators.
The Clavister Security System 6002 is 2U dual-slot carrier-grade platform capable of delivering up
to 80 Gbps of routing and firewall performance, 40 Gbps VPN performance, 400,000 VPN tunnels
and an exceptional 40 million concurrent sessions. This makes the Clavister System 6002 the ideal
solution for any carrier or telecom operator who which to secure LTE/4G, I-WLAN or Femtocell
networks using the award-winning Clavister ATCA Security Blades.
Robustness and scalability are inherit features of the ATCA chassis and although the Clavister
Security System 6002 is small in stature, it is exceptionally versatile and offer a perfect solution to
secure your next-generation mobile networks, whether it is LTE/4G, I-WLAN or Femtocell networks.
Small and efficient, and built for speed
ATCA is known to many for its “big-irons” chassis with up to 13U or even 19U. With a footprint of a
modest 2U yet with capacity to outperform the competitors flagship products, the Clavister System
6002 is capable of servicing even some of the most demanding telecom operator networks in the
world.
Compact and high performance without compromising robustness
Even with its small footprint, the Clavister Security System 6002 is designed without compromising
the robustness for which ATCA systems has become known for. With redundancy of every vital
component, including power supplies, cooling fans and Clavister ATCA Secure Blades, the Clavister
System 6002 is able to meet the demands for five-nine (99,999) availability.
Future proof – fully compliant with the Clavister ATCA Security Blades
Compared to initial investments in “big-irons”, the cost efficiency of the Clavister System 6002
enables operators to lower their early stage capital expenses (CapEx) when introducing new technologies
in their networks without compromising performance or scalability.
For operators who are forecasting a substantial growth over time beyond the capacity of the
Clavister System 6002, the initial investment can be re-used thanks to the full interoperability
between the Clavister ATCA Security Blades and all the Clavister Security Systems chassis. This
means that operators who invested in a Clavister System 6002 running the Clavister ATCA Security
we are network security

About ATCA
ATCA is a set of documents specifying all
the electrical and mechanical requirements
necessary to create an industry
standard platform. This documentation
includes specifications for platform
elements such as chassis dimensions,
backplane properties, module size and
backplane interface specifications, power
rating, cooling, etc.
The main objectives of the ATCA standard
is to enable building carrier grade convergent
systems. Specifically, it is aimed
at converging telecom access and edge
equipment functions with data center and
storage equipment functions in a modular
fashion.
Some of the key guiding principles of the
ATCA standard are:
• scalable backplane capacity of up to 20
Gbps (per slot using Dual-Star topology)
• redundancy throughout the system
configuration to achieve over 99.999%
availability (Carrier Grade)
The ATCA specifications incorporates the
latest trends in high speed interconnect
technologies, next generation processors,
and improved Reliability, Availability and
Serviceability (RAS). For more information
about ATCA, please visit: www.picmg.org
Blades can scale up by migrating existing blades to a larger chassis, thereby avoiding to re-invest in
completely new hardware.
