Affordable GLOBAL 555 and 575 coordinate

measuring machines from Brown & Sharpe offer

These precision-sized measuring machines

are available in GLOBAL STATUS and

GLOBAL IMAGE models with measuring

ranges of X 500 mm (19.6"), Y 500-700 mm

(19.6"-27.5"), Z 500 mm (19.6"). They can be

equipped with a variety of manually or

automatically indexable and interchangeable

touch trigger and scanning probes.

GLOBAL’s flexibility allows manufacturers a

wide range of measurement and inspection

options, including first piece and layout

inspection, tool set up, process control,

reverse engineering, and archiving.

GLOBAL 555 and 575 CMMs are designed with

20 percent fewer parts than traditional CMMs

for improved reliability and maintainability.

Distinctive TRICISION bridge design provides

optimum stiffness-to-mass ratio. The light alloy

bridge is 25 percent stiffer than traditional

designs and the X rail has a 50 percent lower

center of gravity for smooth, precise operation.

Wider air bearing separation than competitive

bridge designs assures improved control of

bridge axis roll for precise volumetric measuring

accuracy, reduced repeatability errors, increased

acceleration/deceleration, and greater

Brown & Sharpe’s PC-DMIS Industrial Strength metrology

software automatically creates a complete DCC high speed

scanning part program, even inserting moves to avoid obstacles.

Select additional scan paths on the setup screen if needed.

Preview the scan paths and click OK. It’s that easy.

Point, Click and Scan Technology uses a special Object

Oriented Scanning feature that allows the controller to

define the optimum scan path from a single user command.

A patented OBSERVER function inside the controller provides

a feedback loop from the probe head that reduces measuring

uncertainty and cycle time by keeping the head closer to the

part’s nominal dimensions.
