Medicines in care homes pack<br />
The Medicines in care homes pack has been designed to assist pharmacists in providing training to care<br />
staff. The pack consists of one pharmacist training manual, six A5 workbooks and six A5 certificates.<br />
The training can be used as an introduction to medicines for new care staff or as a refresher for<br />
existing staff. Care staff may also find that some of the training undertaken during the sessions can be<br />
used to contribute towards their evidence portfolio for the qualifications they are undertaking to work<br />
in the care home.<br />
This course covers five sessions:<br />

• Administration of medicines<br />
• Managing medicines<br />
• Monitoring residents and supporting medicine use<br />
