Acquiring license for Class Rating Instructor CRI(A) at Atlas Air Service
The LBA approval to train Class Rating Instructors CRI(A) – just hot off the press - completes the range
of pilot training for the Cessna C525 series at Atlas Air Service.
Last summer Atlas Air Service, the largest reseller for Cessna Citation Jets, opened its TRTO also for
training of external pilots and therefore cooperates with the Lufthansa flight school. On one hand the
trainees will profit from the know-how of the experienced Atlas Air Service pilots and on the other
hand from the ultra modern training equipment provided by the cooperative partner Lufthansa Flight
Training. Four Cessna Citation Jets CJ 1+ and five fixed-base simulators (FTD2 / FNPT II MCC) are at
your disposal for training.
This pilot training is directed to experienced as well as to future business jet pilots, to charter
businesses and to self-operating owners of Citation Jets. It starts with a computer-based theoretical
training which may be conducted at home and continues with flight simulator training. The
concluding on-type flight training consolidates all newly trained skills. The training schedule will be
adjusted to the attendant’s needs and specific previous knowledge.
All training dates will be scheduled individually with the attendant. This ensures excellent training in
minimum time. The training will take place in Bremen. The Bremen airport offers a simple, fast and
flexible arrival.

Along with the new training for CRI we offer the complete training range: type rating, recurrent
training, individual refresher training, airport familiarization, multi-crew coordination (MCC) training,
etc.
With the enlargement regarding the pilot training segment Atlas Air Service consequently pursues its
goal to be the customers’ first contact for all questions around their aircraft. This is how Christian von
Engelbrechten, manager TRTO Atlas Air Service, sums it up: “Our customers achieve additional
benefits, because we now offer everything from one source: aircraft sales and maintenance as well
as pilot training. Our pilots attend these training courses as well. Therefore we ensure the highest
possible training norms for all pilots of our five Citation Jets which we utilize for Europe-wide charter
flights from the Bremen airport.”
Atlas Air Service is Europe’s largest reseller for Cessna Citation Jets and offers aircraft maintenance
for high-quality business aircraft as well as the entire overhaul of avionics and interior at four
facilities in Germany. We operate five Cessna Citation Jets for individual charter flights from Bremen.
Atlas Air Service has a staff of 115 employees at the facilities in Bremen, Ganderkesee, Paderborn
and Stuttgart; for over 40 years the registered office is located at Ganderkesee in Lower Saxony. The
company is managed by the board members Uwe Lindemann, Michael Laux and Nicolas von Mende.
