which from their nature are liable to<br />

damage the mails or any person handling<br />

Canada-All packages of merchandisc<br />

not exceeding -l lhs. 6 oz. weight<br />

addressed to Canada, if presented for<br />

mailing in such form as to be capable<br />

of easy i;mpeetion, can be forwarded<br />

in the mails to tho o&e of address<br />

if postage is fully prepaid at the rate<br />

applicable to the same in the Domestic<br />

mails. Sealed packages, other than<br />

letters in tllei: usual and ordinam<br />

form, are not allowed to bedespatched<br />

to Canada, even if postage is prepaid<br />

thereon a! .full letter rates.<br />

Mexico-Matter addressed to Mexico<br />

is sobject to same rules and conditiuns<br />

as if it were addressed for<br />

delivery in the United States, csccpt<br />

sent by parcels post. Sealed packages<br />

other t,lian letters in their usual and<br />

orc1ina.q form are not alloTTed to be<br />

despatchetl to Mexico even if postage<br />

Commercial papers for Canada nnif<br />

Mexico, 5 cents for first 10 oz. or less<br />

and 1 cent ench additional 2 oz. or<br />

less. Limit of weight 1 pounds, 6 oz.<br />

and must be unsealtid.<br />

addition to the lawful postage of such<br />

article, entitles it to immediate de-<br />

livery within the carrier delivery limit<br />

of any <strong>Free</strong> Delivery Post Office and<br />

within one mile of any other Post<br />

permits tile delivery by mail of letters<br />

bearing only the Special Delivery<br />

Stamp, but, the ordinary postage due<br />

will be collected of the addressee on<br />

delivery. Letters from foreign countries<br />

bearing United States Special<br />

Delivery Stamps are entitled to Special<br />

Dcbvcry. If Special Delivery fee<br />

is paid by means of ordinary postage<br />

stamps, article must be marked “Special<br />

Dciivery.”<br />

The hours bvithin which Special Delivery<br />

simll be made in <strong>Free</strong> Delivery<br />

Post Offices, are from 7 a m to 11<br />

p m., unless in special eases otherwise<br />

ordered by the Postmaster General.<br />

At, other post offices the hours are at<br />

least from 7 a m to 7 p m and to<br />

t!le arrival of the last mail, not later<br />

tJ!an 9 o’clock p m.<br />

All letters containing money or valuablc<br />

articles should be registered to<br />

insure their safe delivery. The fee<br />
