which from their nature are liable to
damage the mails or any person handling

Canada-All packages of merchandisc
not exceeding -l lhs. 6 oz. weight
addressed to Canada, if presented for
mailing in such form as to be capable
of easy i;mpeetion, can be forwarded
in the mails to tho o&e of address
if postage is fully prepaid at the rate
applicable to the same in the Domestic
mails. Sealed packages, other than
letters in tllei: usual and ordinam
form, are not allowed to bedespatched
to Canada, even if postage is prepaid
thereon a! .full letter rates.
Mexico-Matter addressed to Mexico
is sobject to same rules and conditiuns
as if it were addressed for
delivery in the United States, csccpt
that articy’s of inerel~andisc not sent
as I)onn fitle trade samples, should be
sent by parcels post. Sealed packages
other t,lian letters in their usual and
orc1ina.q form are not alloTTed to be
despatchetl to Mexico even if postage
is prepaid thereon at full letter rates.

and 1 cent ench additional 2 oz. or
less. Limit of weight 1 pounds, 6 oz.
and must be unsealtid.

Of the face \-alue oi’ 10 cents attaciled
to an article of mailable matter, in
addition to the lawful postage of such
article, entitles it to immediate de-
livery within the carrier delivery limit
of any Free Delivery Post Office and
within one mile of any other Post
Oilicc in the United States. The law
permits tile delivery by mail of letters
bearing only the Special Delivery
Stamp, but, the ordinary postage due
will be collected of the addressee on
delivery. Letters from foreign countries
bearing United States Special
Delivery Stamps are entitled to Special
Dcbvcry. If Special Delivery fee
is paid by means of ordinary postage
stamps, article must be marked “Special
Dciivery.”
The hours bvithin which Special Delivery
simll be made in Free Delivery
Post Offices, are from 7 a m to 11
p m., unless in special eases otherwise
ordered by the Postmaster General.
At, other post offices the hours are at
least from 7 a m to 7 p m and to
t!le arrival of the last mail, not later
tJ!an 9 o’clock p m.
All letters containing money or valuablc
articles should be registered to
insure their safe delivery. The fee
for registration is ten [lo) cents additional
to regular postage.
