License Agreement 

You may modify the images and use them in your own applications, websites, and distributed media subject to the 

following terms and conditions: 

Type of License: 

Upon purchasing a VirtualLNK Professional Icon Collection, you will receive a "site license". This entitles "one 

company" at "one location" to use our icons in any number of projects, subject to the terms of this agreement. 

No transfer of ownership: 

You may not lease, resell, license, or sub-license the images, or a subset thereof, to any third party. This also 

applies to any derived artwork or modified images from the VirtualLNK icon collections. The images may not be 

used to sell or otherwise promote image collections that compete directly with VirtualLNK, LLC. You may not grant 

or otherwise make available for use the images in their original or modified forms. 

No royalty fees: 

Once you have purchased a license, there are no royalty fees. This means you can use the images in your software 

and design projects without having to pay additional licensing fees. 

Creating applications for clients: 

You may create software applications or websites on behalf of a client, as long as the client does not intend to 

resell the application or website. If the client is considered a software or website design company, an additional 

license for the icons must be purchased from VirtualLNK, LLC. 

Distributing the images: 

All distributed images must be "in use" by the distributed application or website. You may not include the collection 

to "add value" to your product or service. Care should be taken to protect the artwork and/or derived artworks 

from being copied and/or obtained by a third party. If you are distributing a website, we understand that there is 

no way to compile the images into a DLL or resource library. This is acceptable as long as the above terms are 

met.

All images are provided "as is" without warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. By 

purchasing any of these collections you agree to hold VirtualLNK harmless for any result that may occur during the 

course of using the images. 

Do I have to purchase a license for each developer 

No, you will receive a "site license", which allows any number of developers at a "single location" to use the icons. 

Is there a limit on the number of projects the icons can be used for 

You may use the icons in any number of projects, subject to the terms of this agreement.

Vista Icon Set - FAQ 

What sizes and formats are included with my purchase 

Please review the image and associated details below: 

• 16x16, 24x24, 32x32, 48x48, 72x72, 128x128, 256x256 in .ICO, .PNG, .BMP, .ICNS (MAC), .BMP (Magenta 

Mask), .JPG, and .GIF formats 

• Normal, Hot, and Disabled versions of each image 

• Indexed .PDF file containing a categorized list of all the icons 

Will your Vista Icon Sets work with Windows XP 

Yes. Vista Icon Set refers to the style, not the format. Since graphics formats are universal, our Vista Icons will 

work on nearly any modern operating system. There is one exception to this rule: The new Windows Vista 

operating system supports (new resolutions) up to 256x256 in ICO format and a special PNG compression. This 

is to accommodate monitors of the future that will support higher DPI's making universal screen layouts 

possible. Although these "monitors of the future" are certainly something to look forward to, they will not be 

covered in this FAQ. If you wish to use images of this size on Windows XP, etc., any of the other file formats 

(GIF, JPG, BMP, etc.) will work just as well.
