3 Social <strong>justice</strong> is an outcome of <strong>social</strong> acti<strong>on</strong> taken to develop fair treatment and<br />

equity for all eg equal opportunity and employment laws.<br />

Human rights are the rights that should be afforded to all people <strong>in</strong> a society to allow<br />

fair treatment and equity for all eg political rights, vot<strong>in</strong>g, <strong>social</strong> rights, freedom of<br />

speech, gender rights, gay marriage (civil uni<strong>on</strong>s).<br />

Pers<strong>on</strong>al <strong><strong>in</strong>volvement</strong> means an active pers<strong>on</strong>al participati<strong>on</strong> <strong>in</strong> an acti<strong>on</strong>.<br />

A <strong>social</strong> <strong>justice</strong> and human rights acti<strong>on</strong> is an acti<strong>on</strong> which has been set up with a<br />

well-established framework and is currently operati<strong>on</strong>al, such as the 40 hour fam<strong>in</strong>e<br />

or Amnesty Internati<strong>on</strong>al letter writ<strong>in</strong>g.<br />

Po<strong>in</strong>ts of view <strong>in</strong>clude op<strong>in</strong>i<strong>on</strong>s and beliefs of <strong>in</strong>dividuals/groups/society(s).<br />
