<strong>MVHS</strong> <strong>ATHLETIC</strong> <strong>BOOSTER</strong> <strong>CLUB</strong><br />
2012 – 2013 MEMBERSHIP FORM<br />
Your $30 basic membership fee supports the objectives of the Athletic Boosters and will include an <strong>MVHS</strong> Horse Head Starter<br />
Window Decal as well as monthly communication from the Athletic Boosters. We encourage your attendance at monthly membership<br />
meetings – typically the last week of the month @ 7PM. Our first meeting will be the week of August 27, 2012.<br />
Since the <strong>MVHS</strong> Athletic Booster Club started in Fall 2009, membership dues, fundraising and volunteers have helped provide:<br />
-Athlete IMPACT TESTING to give a baseline for medical professionals in the event of head injuries<br />
-Coach TRAINING AND EDUCATION. <strong>MVHS</strong> is the only area high school to provide this benefit<br />
-<strong>School</strong>-wide HEART TESTING to detect heart abnormalities<br />
-Tractor PURCHASE for girls Softball/boys Baseball field maintenance<br />
-Computer HARDWARE and SOFTWARE for girls and boys basketball/ baseball/softball instruction, statistics, data<br />
-Medicine ball EQUIPMENT for girls and boys Track/Field and Cross-Country<br />
-Video RECORDING equipment for girls and boys Soccer training and evaluation<br />
-SPIRIT items and FACILITY decorative enhancements such as the decals in the main gym, stadium flags, signage, etc.<br />
-Continuing in Spring 2013 Boosters will award a minimum of two $1,000 SCHOLARSHIPS to senior athletes! And more!<br />
Annually, coaches may apply for grants. In addition to awarding grants for the purchase of equipment and services, Boosters “boost”<br />
spirit through apparel, merchandise, events, spirit items, etc. Booster funds primarily come from Membership Dues, Concession and<br />
Merchandise Sales, and the annual Fall Athletic kick-off event - MUSTANG MANIA!<br />
You can also choose to purchase an Athletic Season Pass with your booster membership. Without a season pass, most Varsity/JV<br />
sports require an admission fee of $5 for adults and $3 for seniors/children. The Athletic Pass is a pre-paid convenience and savings<br />
for families attending home sporting events (tournaments and playoffs excluded). The cost of the athletic pass is determined by IPSD<br />
204. Note: Your <strong>MVHS</strong> STUDENT’s Athletic Pass is purchased through school registration.<br />
