<strong>Wohlhaupter</strong> introduced their DIGITAL technology in 2003 with<br />
the versatile DIGIBORE head. Now this technology has been<br />
integrated into the Balance family <strong>of</strong> tools… all the way down<br />
to a 1.97” diameter tool… the world’s smallest <strong>of</strong> it’s type. The<br />
heart <strong>of</strong> the DIGITAL function is the integration <strong>of</strong> a battery<br />
powered, internal opto-electronic transverse measurement…<br />
and an LCD read-out/adjustment display. This makes precise<br />
µm adjustments very simple and reliable.<br />
Balance boring tools have been made by <strong>Wohlhaupter</strong><br />
since 1993. All the tools bearing the Balance name have<br />
an automatic, internal self-balancing mechanism. This was<br />
developed to minimize the residual imbalance caused by<br />
the diameter adjustment <strong>of</strong> the insert holder. The imbalance<br />
is corrected automatically when the cutter diameter is<br />
adjusted.<br />
