most need of.<br />
Helping Hands<br />
• Replace worn tarps on Sweet William’s<br />
Cabin.<br />
• Establish double circle fire rings in each tent<br />
unit and at Pixie Lodge<br />
• Clear and mark all trails beginning to end.<br />
• Establish “wildlife feeding/viewing stations w/<br />
signage along the trails<br />
• Create trail around lake w/ environmental<br />
“stations” along the way.<br />
• Evaluate the remains of the challenge<br />
course (along Dogwood Trail and in the<br />
Playing Field) and make repairs necessary to<br />
resume usage<br />
• Measure lake depth and make weighted depth<br />
markers and “gates” (anchored markers) for<br />
canoe/kayak games.<br />
• Pressure wash the Boat House ramp, Reflection<br />
bridge, side walk and anything else in need<br />
Electrical Work<br />
• Install fans in tents without them.<br />
• Install electrical outlets in tents without<br />
them<br />
HVAC Work<br />
• Install central air conditioning in Pixie Lodge<br />
and Troop House<br />
Kitchen Equipment<br />
• New or gently used commercial electric<br />
range and griddle.<br />
Transport<br />
• Two good used multi-passenger, gas powered,<br />
off-road vehicles (i.e. John Deere Gator style)<br />
or golf carts to transport camp staff.<br />
Construction Work<br />
• Benches for fire rings in units (seating for<br />
approx. 40 in each unit)<br />
• Build costume storage closet in Troop House<br />
• Repair damaged tent stairs in units<br />
• Remodel shower stalls in Troop House so<br />
they don’t flood the building.<br />
• Modify/Expand shower stalls to provide private<br />
changing areas in each stall (Pixie, Trail’s End,<br />
and Whispering Pines Bath Houses)<br />
• Build 15 picnic tables 3 for Pixie Lodge, 4 for<br />
the Nature Center and the rest to be<br />
distributed to living units<br />
• Repair/Rework the ramp leading into the<br />
boat house-too steep and slippery<br />
• Repair or Rebuild Archery Shed at the<br />
Archery Range (space around the top<br />
should be closed in at the least)<br />
• Install Poles for hanging PFDs in Boat<br />
House<br />
• Build off-ground canoe rack<br />
• Close in space around the roof of Nature<br />
Center<br />
• Add windows or window coverings that can<br />
be secured to the Nature Center<br />
Interior Design<br />
• Total makeover of the inside of Troop<br />
House and Pixie Lodge. We would like<br />
everything from troop or Girl Scout artwork,<br />
curtains/blinds, furniture, rugs, etc. Please<br />
make it bright, cheerful, clean-looking, and<br />
easy to maintain. No fluorescent colors animal<br />
prints or feathers. (All colors must be approved<br />
by <strong>Camp</strong> Director.)
Donations<br />
• Items for Costume Closet (Fantasy-Not<br />
Scary)-Sizes Brownie-Adult)<br />
• Books for Girls ages 6-15 (Non-Religious and<br />
age appropriate- NO Romance Novels).<br />
• Magazines for reading, decoupage, etc.-<br />
