Germany’s Stefan Marx hits our shores for the first time to create an environment inside the gallery that is part sculpture - part skateboarding obstacle. Well
known for his installations as well as his 2 dimensional pieces, Stefan’s artworks invite you into a phantasmagorical, mesmerising world filled with rich and
curious characters that congregate in crazy cartoon like canyons, so intriguing and compelling you want to delve straight in and inhabit his work. Stefan offers
a personal view, giving an insightful and accurate account of what he is feeling that day. With his spontaneous execution his heart-strings are tightly tied to his
pencil. Looking at his work is like looking at a drawing of his psyche.
Marx has produced many books including two for Nieves ‘I’m Starting to Feel Okay’, and ‘I Wait Here for You Forever As Long As it Takes’ and has appeared in
many publications.
Stefan publishes his zines, prints off-set posters and silk-screened t-shirts in limited editions through his Lousy Livincompany.
