cogwheel winders The elaborate design of these winders gives the appearance of a machine built for some serious work - which indeed they do. The watch is secured inside the central brushed aluminium drum which is turned by a series of precision machined, polished brass cog-wheels mounted on the back. The impressive looking mechanism is mounted on a craftsman constructed, wood base finished with eight layers of hand applied lacquer. The Optima Cogwheel Features the Optima mechanism and leather covered clip to mount the watch on (see page 23 for details of the Optima mechanism).
