Liberty Common Junior High/High School Supply List - 2012-2013 School Year
General Supplies:
• One dress code sweatshirt: as some rooms can be a bit chilly, especially in the
morning, we highly recommend layering. Students need a non-hooded sweatshirt,
which can be purchased at many stores. Official LCHS sweatshirt order forms are
also available in the front office on the shirt display shelf. 9 th -12 th graders can no
longer wear a hooded LCHS sweatshirt.
• 3 boxes of tissues delivered to your homeroom teacher.
• 2 binders at least 1 inch or Trapper-type (one for periods 1-4, one for periods 5-8).
• The length of all binders must be less than 11 inches, or they will not fit in the
lockers.
• 18-20 3-hole tab dividers (for divisions between and within classes).
• A yearlong supply of college-ruled loose-leaf notebook paper
• 6-8 book covers
• 1 pencil pouch (or 1 for each binder)
• 1 pencil box containing: glue sticks, markers, scissors, colored pencils (12 count)
• 1 package of pens for each color: blue, black, red
• 1 package of #2 pencils
• 1 eraser
• 1 standard and metric ruler
• A yearlong supply of 3x5 index cards
• 1 assignment notebook (planner) - it must fit the following specifications:
o 4x8 inches to 8x11 inches in size
o Rigid cover to attach hall passes (passes must be stapled to it)
o entire week visible when open, enough room to write assignments for 8
classes each day
English/Composition Supplies:
• 2 inch binder used only for English or Composition with 6 dividers
• 4x6 index cards (Composition I)
• USB flash drive (Composition I and II)
Spanish:
• Spanish-English dictionary (for home use): recommended publishers are Merriam-
Webster, Oxford, VOX, and Webster’s
All Art Classes:
• Sketchbook (Spiral binding, at least 70 pages, 8.5”x 11”)
Photography Classes (Need by 2 nd week of school):
• 35mm SLR Manual Camera, Digital Camera with manual setting option, USB Flash
Drive
Graphic Design:
• Digital camera, USB Flash Drive

Computer Classes:
• a USB flash drive (recommended, required for AP Computer Science) – any size
All Math Classes:
• 2 inch binder only w/3 dividers
• ¼ inch grid loose leaf graph paper

Geometry:

Algebra II, Pre-Calculus, Calculus AB/BC, Physics, AP Physics:
o Graphing calculator (TI-83 or TI-84, which are allowed on the SAT, ACT and
TCAP). TI-83s can be checked out.
Physics, AP Physics, All Engineering Electives:
• Lab notebook/composition notebook for lab experiments
All Engineering Classes: Headphones
All Science Classes: Extra-large book cover
AP Biology/Anatomy and Physiology:
• Packages of notecards to make flashcards
• Lab notebook/composition notebook for lab experiments.
Elective Class Fees: These fees will be collected by the teachers once all schedule
changes have been made. Please don’t include payment on registration day.
