<strong>Liberty</strong> <strong>Common</strong> Junior <strong>High</strong>/<strong>High</strong> <strong>School</strong> <strong>Supply</strong> <strong>List</strong> - 2012-2013 <strong>School</strong> Year<br />

General Supplies:<br />

• One dress code sweatshirt: as some rooms can be a bit chilly, especially in the<br />

morning, we highly recommend layering. Students need a non-hooded sweatshirt,<br />

which can be purchased at many stores. Official LCHS sweatshirt order forms are<br />

also available in the front office on the shirt display shelf. 9 th -12 th graders can no<br />

longer wear a hooded LCHS sweatshirt.<br />

• 3 boxes of tissues delivered to your homeroom teacher.<br />

• 2 binders at least 1 inch or Trapper-type (one for periods 1-4, one for periods 5-8).<br />

• <strong>The</strong> length of all binders must be less than 11 inches, or they will not fit in the<br />

lockers.<br />

• 18-20 3-hole tab dividers (for divisions between <strong>and</strong> within classes).<br />

• A yearlong supply of college-ruled loose-leaf notebook paper<br />

• 6-8 book covers<br />

• 1 pencil pouch (or 1 for each binder)<br />

• 1 pencil box containing: glue sticks, markers, scissors, colored pencils (12 count)<br />

• 1 package of pens for each color: blue, black, red<br />

• 1 package of #2 pencils<br />

• 1 eraser<br />

• 1 st<strong>and</strong>ard <strong>and</strong> metric ruler<br />

• A yearlong supply of 3x5 index cards<br />

• 1 assignment notebook (planner) - it must fit the following specifications:<br />

o 4x8 inches to 8x11 inches in size<br />

o Rigid cover to attach hall passes (passes must be stapled to it)<br />

o entire week visible when open, enough room to write assignments for 8<br />

classes each day<br />

English/Composition Supplies:<br />

• 2 inch binder used only for English or Composition with 6 dividers<br />

• 4x6 index cards (Composition I)<br />

• USB flash drive (Composition I <strong>and</strong> II)<br />

Spanish:<br />

• Spanish-English dictionary (for home use): recommended publishers are Merriam-<br />

Webster, Oxford, VOX, <strong>and</strong> Webster’s<br />

All Art Classes:<br />

• Sketchbook (Spiral binding, at least 70 pages, 8.5”x 11”)<br />

Photography Classes (Need by 2 nd week of school):<br />

• 35mm SLR Manual Camera, Digital Camera with manual setting option, USB Flash<br />

Drive<br />

Graphic Design:<br />

• Digital camera, USB Flash Drive


Computer Classes:<br />

• a USB flash drive (recommended, required for AP Computer Science) – any size<br />

All Math Classes:<br />

• 2 inch binder only w/3 dividers<br />

• ¼ inch grid loose leaf graph paper<br />

o Compass, Protractor <strong>and</strong> Scissors<br />

Algebra II, Pre-Calculus, Calculus AB/BC, Physics, AP Physics:<br />

o Graphing calculator (TI-83 or TI-84, which are allowed on the SAT, ACT <strong>and</strong><br />

TCAP). TI-83s can be checked out.<br />

Physics, AP Physics, All Engineering Electives:<br />

• Lab notebook/composition notebook for lab experiments<br />

All Engineering Classes: Headphones<br />

All Science Classes: Extra-large book cover<br />

AP Biology/Anatomy <strong>and</strong> Physiology:<br />

• Packages of notecards to make flashcards<br />

• Lab notebook/composition notebook for lab experiments.<br />

Elective Class Fees: <strong>The</strong>se fees will be collected by the teachers once all schedule<br />

changes have been made. Please don’t include payment on registration day.<br />
