Expression of Interest for Submission of Proposal for
Statutory Audit of Accounts of KEA
Karnataka Examinations Authority is a Government Organization registered under the
Karnataka Societies Registration Act, 1960 (Karnataka Act of 1960) which functions under
the control of the Department of Higher Education. KEA is an examination conducting
Authority and among other activities also conducts the counselling for CET, PGCET etc. and
enables online seat selection for both Under Graduate and Post Graduate Professional
Courses as per the directions of the Government from time to time.
Expression of Interest is invited for conduct of KEA’s Statutory Audit for the period
01-04-2010 to 31-03-2011, 01-04-2011 to 31-03-2012 and 01-04-202 to 31-03-2013.
Interested Chartered Accountant Firms for filling all requirements cited at the scope
of work available at Karnataka Examinations Authority website http://kea.kar.nic.in may
submit Expression of Interest together with such support of documents as they deem fit.
Expressions of Interest need to be submitted in sealed cover Superscribed “Statutory
Audit of Accounts of KEA” for the period 01-04-2010 to 31-03-2011, 01-04-2011 to 31-03-
2012 and 01-04-202 to 31-03-2013 and addressed to Administrative Officer, Karnataka
Examinations Authority. The Expression of Interest need be deposited in the Tender Box
kept at the Reception Counter of Karnataka Examinations Authority, 18 th
Malleswaram, Bangalore on or before 18-02-2013.

Scope of Work for
Expression of Interest for Submission of Proposal for
Statutory Audit of Accounts of KEA
Karnataka Examinations Authority is a Government Organization registered under the
Karnataka Societies Registration Act, 1960 (Karnataka Act of 1960) which functions
under the control of the Department of Higher Education. The main aim of KEA is to
conduct Entrance Test and to hold Online Seat Selection for both Under Graduate and
Post Graduate Professional Courses as per the directions of the Government from time
to time.
The auditor is expected to provide a professional opinion on the effectiveness of the
overall financial management, accounting system and procurement arrangements. The
Statutory audit shall be carried out in accordance with the prescribed Auditing Standards
and will include such tests and controls.
The interested Chartered Accountants firms applying should fulfil the following
conditions:
1.The Audit firm applying shall be a Partnership Firm for at least 20 years and
currently should have 3 Full time Partners.
2. Should be empanelled with Comptroller and Auditor General and have experience
in Conduct of audit of PSU for 10 years.
Firms fulfilling the above can submit their EOI mentioning all their Bio-Data the
proposal about willingness to take up the work along with professional charges, per
year, for Statutory Audit. may be sent in a sealed cover super scribed as “Request for
Proposal for Statutory Audit” by RPAD on or before 18-02-2013 to the Executive
Director, Karnataka Examinations Authority, 18 th
