AATCC moved from Lowell <strong>Textile</strong> School to Research Triangle Park, NC in 1963.<br />

Mission<br />

• To Increase knowledge <strong>of</strong> the application <strong>of</strong> colorants, chemicals, <strong>and</strong> polymers in the<br />

textile industry<br />

• To encourage in any practical way research work on textile design <strong>and</strong> coloration,<br />

chemical processes, <strong>and</strong> materials <strong>of</strong> importance to the textile industry<br />

• To establish for our members channels by which the interchange <strong>of</strong><br />

pr<strong>of</strong>essional knowledge among them may be Increased<br />

Approximately 3,000 Individual Members <strong>and</strong> 200 Corporate Members from more than<br />

60 countries. Members come from textile manufacturing; apparel <strong>and</strong> textile products<br />

companies; suppliers <strong>of</strong> dyes, chemicals, fibers, instruments, <strong>and</strong> machinery; independent<br />

<strong>and</strong> government testing laboratories; academics; related textile associations; <strong>and</strong><br />

retail organizations<br />
