PANASH Music Festival, featuring India’s popular DJ Pearl and Nikhil
Chinapa, along with VJ Kaycee, is all set to wow music lovers with
house, techno and progressive music on Thursday, April 19th, at the Al
Jabrin Ballroom in the InterContinental Hotel Muscat.
The DJ duo will rock the capital with their patented style of presentation
and music that has, at its heart, the pulse of both young and mature
audiences. It promises to be a fun evening with all the right doses of
music, lights and a perfect ambience for dance and cheer.
An MTV product, Nikhil infuses a fresh new feel to every genre of
music he plays. He has donned many an avatar since he began his
foray into the world of MTV with the India’s VJ Hunt contest in 1996,
which, incidentally, he won. Following that, he has gone on to host
a number of shows, including MTV Select, MTV Chillout (India), MTV
Super Select and MTV Discover n Download. From DJ to VJ to MC to
music promoter to festival director, Nikhil has well proven his calibre in
the field of music presentation. He is also very active in television reality
shows and singing contests, as a host and a judge; he has hosted reality
shows like India’s Got Talent, MTV Roadies, MTV Splitsvilla, etc. He is
also the Festival Director of Asia’s premier music festival – Sunburn
Festival in Goa.
As a DJ he has found fame all over the world, more so following the
establishment of ‘Submerge’, along with his wife DJ Pearl. ‘Submerge’
is an electronic dance music and alternative club scene, which serves
as a platform for upcoming DJs in the country. It has attracted some of
the top VJ names from the local Indian music scene and has been the
venue for popular international DJs.
DJ Pearl’s entry into the world of music can be traced to her search
for that perfect synergy of music and atmosphere. Her search for new
tunes as she clubbed across the globe, created in her a passion for a
genre that proved to be her definitive style – House music. She has
pioneered the cause of House music across the Indian subcontinent. To
her list of credits is the invitation from the famous Ministry of Sound in
London. She was the only DJ invited from India!
PANASH Music Festival is presented by High Wave Entertainment in
collaboration with Y, Merge 104.8, Syed Ahmed and Hemang Company,
Submerge, Khazir, InterContinental Hotels & Resorts and Alatool
Muscat.
