This <strong>pr<strong>of</strong>essional</strong> range <strong>of</strong> cascadable multiswitches is the <strong>most</strong><br />
flexible system <strong>of</strong> the market, allowing to increase the number <strong>of</strong><br />
satellite inputs for any <strong>of</strong> the situations <strong>of</strong> reception.<br />
This new generation <strong>of</strong> multiswitches is stacked by sliding an<br />
additional multiswitch on top <strong>of</strong> the first unit already installed.<br />
<strong>The</strong>reby, the headend can be exp<strong>and</strong>ed in depth with a minimum<br />
number <strong>of</strong> modifications <strong>and</strong> requiring same space for it.<br />
<strong>The</strong> connection between receiver outputs to the loop-inputs<br />
is made by special coaxial leads featuring quick-type connectors<br />
for ease <strong>of</strong> installation.<br />
<strong>The</strong> Multimat 2 units are made <strong>of</strong> diecast. An ABS plastic cover<br />
protect the unit <strong>and</strong> connectors by means <strong>of</strong> plastic slides on<br />
both ends <strong>of</strong> the unit.<br />
Multimat 2 includes a range <strong>of</strong> accessories such as an easy low<br />
loss 9 <strong>and</strong> 17 way plug-in TAP for the main trunk line (1 dB) to<br />
allow big low loss IF-networks.<br />
TAPs are designed for direct connection to the Multimat 2 multiswitch<br />
without additional cables.<br />
<strong>The</strong> IF network can be designed using a minimum number<br />
<strong>of</strong> amplifiers for mantaining the BER all along the cascade<br />
system.<br />
