The above local officiating arrangements are made purely on temporary basis and this will not
confer any right on the officer to continue in the same post/grade/station. The above arrangements are
purely temporary till the regular incumbent is posted/joins or till further orders from this office
whichever is earlier, but not to exceed 89 days.
The above officers will stand automatically reverted to their original cadre on 89 th day or on
joining of the regular incumbent whichever is earlier, if no further orders are issued by this office in
the meanwhile.
The arrangements made under this order will neither bestow on the officer any right to claim
for their regular appointment in the grade of CAO nor will the service rendered by them be counted
for the purpose of seniority in the grade or for promotion to the higher grade.
The above officiating arrangements are subject to the conditions that there is no
vigilance/disciplinary case is pendingicontemplated against the officer or some punishment like
stoppage of increment is current.
In the case of officers posted to officiate out of the SSA in which they are presently working
as Sr.AO/AO, may first be transferred to the SSA in the substantive grade and be posted directly to
officiate as Chief Accounts Officer and TA/TP may be regulated as per guidelines issued by BSNL
vide letter no. 19-27/2002-L&A (Part) dated 15-04-2004.

Since all the officers ordered to officiate as CAOs are already drawing the STS pay scale (E4
pay scale) under Time Bound Up-gradation,
they are not entitled for pay fixation benefits.
If the officers do not assume charge within 15 days, helshe will be deemed to have declined
the officiating promotion.
Copies of charge reports may be forwarded to this office and to all concerned.
