Marge was born in Vancouver,<br />
BC in 1931. Her parents were Christian<br />
missionaries in China before<br />
coming to Vancouver.<br />
She was the oldest daughter in<br />
the family with two younger sisters,<br />
Eve and Eileen.<br />

Margaret (Marge) Gandy<br />
MAY 11, 1931 — AUGUST 15, 2012<br />
<strong>of</strong> 60 years, Eldy, son Ross (Gina),<br />
daughter Adele (Jim) and many grandchildren<br />
and great-grandchildren. She<br />
was predeceased by her son Lyle.<br />
Marge and her family have loved<br />
being on the Sunshine Coast since the<br />
late 1950s.<br />
Boating and fi shing were favourite<br />
pastimes with many memories <strong>of</strong><br />
Egmont and the Gulf Islands.<br />
In the ’70s they moved to Garden<br />
Bay where they had a private dock<br />
and operated Sunset Marine Ways for<br />
friends in the <strong>Harbour</strong>.<br />
She later found a piece <strong>of</strong> land<br />
and built a home with the eagles overlooking<br />
Francis Peninsula.<br />
She loved cooking, gardening<br />
and reading, playing golf and wintering<br />
in Palm Desert, California.<br />

She was a member <strong>of</strong> the Pender<br />
<strong>Harbour</strong> Golf Club.<br />
Marge had a strong faith in Jesus<br />
and was a member <strong>of</strong> the Pender <strong>Harbour</strong><br />
Community Church.<br />
She was always positive and<br />
always smiling with a kind word for<br />
everyone.<br />
She will be greatly missed by all<br />
<strong>of</strong> her family and friends.<br />
Her family would like to extend<br />
a special thank you to Dr. Robinson<br />
and the staff at the Pender <strong>Harbour</strong><br />
Health Centre in Madeira Park and St.<br />
Mary’s Hospital/Home Care for their<br />
outstanding care and friendship.<br />
A service will be held at the<br />
Pender <strong>Harbour</strong> Community Church,<br />
on Sept. 22 at 2:30 p.m.<br />
