Sylvia Kierkegard is a visiting Professor of Law at the University of Southampton; Professor – PHD
supervisor at the Communications University of China (Beijing); Visiting Professor at several other
universities ; Legal Expert at the EU on E-Practice; Legal Expert at the EU on Internet Content and Safer
Internet; Regulatory Expert at the Council of Europe on e-democracy.

Alana Maurushat, B.A. in Communications (University of Calgary), B.C.L.(McGill), LL.B. (McGill), LL.M. with Concentration in Law and
Technology (University of Ottawa), PhD Candidate (University of New South Wales) is Lecturer, Academic Director of the Cyberspace
Law and Policy Centre, and PhD candidate at the Faculty of Law at UNSW. Her PhD involves inter-disciplinary research in cyber security
and botnets.
Glenn S. Dardick serves on the faculty of Longwood University where he is responsible for its courses in Computer Security, Forensics
and Law. Glenn S. Dardick also serves as the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Digital Forensics, Security and Law and as the organizer
of the Conference on Digital Forensics, Security and Law - both of which he founded in 2006.
Dr Mohamed Chawki holds
a (Ph.D.) in Law from the
University of Lyon III in France
(2006), for a dissertation
on French, British and
American Cybercrime Legal
Systems. He is a Senior
Judge at the Council of State,
Egypt (détaché auprès du
Ministère de la Culture) and
the Founder Chairman of
the International Association
of Cybercrime Prevention
(AILCC) in Paris.
Prof. Gregor Urbas is a Senior Lecturer in Law at the Australian National University; he holds research positions in law and criminology
at the Australian Institute of Criminology, IP Australia and the Law Council of Australia; in symbolic logic at University of Konstanz
(Germany), Centre for Information Science Research (ANU), Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Cientificas (Spain).
Professor Jeffrey F. Addicott is a Distinguished Professor of Law and the Director of the Center for Terrorism Law at St. Mary’s
University School of Law, San Antonio, Texas. An active duty Army officer in the Judge Advocate General’s Corps for twenty years (he
retired in 2000 at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel).
Jos Dumortier studied Law in Leuven, Nancy and Heidelberg and Information Science in Brussels. Since 1993 he is a full-time
Professor in Law and IT at the Faculty of Law at K.U.Leuven and currently Vice-Dean of this Faculty.
Dr. Katina Michael (MIEEE ‘04, SMIEEE ‘06) holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) from
the Faculty of Informatics at the University of Wollongong, NSW, Australia (’03); a Master of Transnational Crime Prevention from the
Faculty of Law at the University of Wollongong (’09) and a Bachelor of Information Technology from the School of Mathematical and
Computing Science, NSW, Australia at the University of Technology, Sydney (’96).
Sizwe Lindelo Snail was born in Marburg and der Lahn , Germany on the 2nd October 1981. He matriculated at Pretoria Boys High,
Pretoria in 1999. He then pursued a law degree at the University of Pretoria in 2000 and completed his Baccalareus Legum (LLB) in
2004 with chosen electives in Tax Law and Cyber-Law in which he also wrote his LLB-dissertation titled “The validity and enforceability
of Internet Contracts“.
