Morris Matters 50
Can you think of an item which has remained the same price for
over fifteen years yet has virtually doubled in size over the same
period
The last increase in price for What’s Afoot was in the Autumn of
1994 when it had 28 pages. It has remained at 50p a copy ever
since even though it is now rarely less than 52 pages. Inevitably,
costs of production and postage have risen, and, while advertising
revenue has enabled us to hold the price steady, we are reaching
a time when the price of What’s Afoot will have to increase.
Implementation of a price rise will be deferred, however, until
the Devon Folk Committee have fully considered the wider issues
of membership and publicity.
In the meantime, if you have any views on the future role of
Devon Folk as a county-wide organisation , or comments about
the What’s Afoot magazine, please make them known to the
Secretary, or myself, respectively.
