“Modern Firearms Training and
Range Development”
Because up-to-date training and education are vital to your success, we invite you to an
intensive 1-day training event titled Modern Firearms Training and Range Development
This course will examine the challenges of today’s firearms training requirements and shooting
range management issues. The first part of the morning will show how modern shooting range
equipment can help you meet those challenges safely and effectively. We will then move to the
range for the live-fire training designed to demonstrate and reinforce the concepts discussed in
the classroom.
YOUR TRAINING EXPERIENCE WILL INCLUDE:
Shooting Range Design: We will discuss critical issues relating to the planning and
construction of indoor and outdoor shooting ranges. This discussion is applicable to not only
new range projects, but to current range upgrades and expansion as well.
Shooting Range Equipment: We will discuss how proper range equipment can help you
meet the standards and goals presented throughout the day.
The Realities of Today’s Gunfights: We will review and analyze current law
enforcement gunfight statistics, plus the physical and mental responses to combat stress. We
will then determine how the results should shape your firearms training standards, practices,
and policies.
Qualification vs. Training: What are the differences Learn why an understanding of
these issues is so important, and why you do not have to settle for one or the other
Putting It All Together: Action Target Academy trainer will reinforce the classroom
material through live fire exercises designed for real Life application and success.

REGISTRATION
You will need to complete and return the registration form below for each individual that will be attending.
Upon receipt of your registration form(s), we will send you a confirmation packet containing a detailed
agenda, hotel information, necessary maps and directions, and other important details.
COST PER ATTENDEE
The $150 tuition includes 1 full day of training, a great Lunch, a coursebook and binder, an ACTION
TARGET HAT, a certificate of completion. And much more...........................
SCHEDULING
The classroom portion will begin at 8:00 am and will conclude by 10:00 am.
The live-fire portion will begin at 10:30 am—Lunch – Live-fire will conclude by 5:00 pm.
TRANSPORTATION, LODGING
You will be responsible for these. Hotel information will be provided in the confirmation packet you will
receive after submitting your registration. Lunch will be provided.
EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS (if you are participating in the live-fire)
* Duty pistol and rig * Eye and ear protection, plus a hat
* 500 rounds of handgun ammo * Appropriate dress for the season
* Extra magazines * Notebook and pen even if you do not want to shoot
